The University of Cincinnati is part of the University System of Ohio and has a College of Medicine ranked among the best 50 medical schools in the nation. Additionally UC established the first emergency medicine residency program and has the first bachelor’s degree program in nursing. The school’s athletics teams are known as the Bearcats and are members of the Big East Conference and have been honored on ESPN for having some of the most academically as well as athletically advanced teams.
